June Sun Sign Profile: Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Mercurial Gemini the Twins, what an enigma? Is she the good twin, or the evil twin, or both? Dr. Jekyll or Ms. Hyde?  Is she in or out, up or down, or all of the above? Yes and no! This effervescent air sign is known for their duplicitous nature. Facile and mentally acquisitive, Geminis seem to bound through life’s changes as if it was a great, on-going tennis match. And Geminis do love to play! Air signs are usually highly mentally oriented, preferring logic, reasoning, and communication to more emotional modes. And yet Geminis often seem to have a strange kind of “intuition” that allows them to fly by the seat of their panties with the ease of an acrobat, while the rest of us wrestle endlessly with our concerns. These multi-taskers of the Zodiac seem to thrive on having many balls in the air, but get bored easily and may not always finish what they start. They have a dubious reputation for being shallow and fickle, but this is certainly not always the case.

Gemini’s are fun and exciting to be around, but can be exhausting for more introspective types, like Scorpio or Capricorn. Air signs Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius get along just great with them, but may not provide one another with much stability in a relationship. Fire Signs Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius find Gemini fascinating and can handle their high-intensity need for change and excitement. Water Signs Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces might end up feeling left high and dry by Gemini, however, as the changeable Air Sign may seem much too detached. Strangely, in all my years as an astrologer, I seldom see Gemini/Gemini couples. It’s almost like it’s just too much of the same vibration, and they end up sort of cancelling each other out! I have also noticed many Taurus/Gemini pairings, but it seems the Gemini usually ends up driving the Taurus crazy, and vis versa, I’m sure! In general, when playing the Love Game, Gemini’s are often somewhat unpredictable and always seem to need a certain degree of freedom.

Born on June 4, actress Angelina Jolie is a classic representation of the Gemini type. Openly bi-sexual, she seems to have run the gamut when it comes to relationships. This talented woman is certainly multi-faceted, with a powerful mothering urge, strong humanitarian interests, and a somewhat quirky, but fascinating persona. With her red-hot Aries Moon, it’s no wonder she’s considered one of the sexiest women in the world. But her sensitive, watery Cancer Rising brings out a softer, more emotional appeal.
